GASMAX LX
Two-wire loop-powered monitor for oxygen depletion and toxic gases, certified for hazardous area use.

What This Device
Does
The GASMAX LX is a two-wire loop-powered gas monitor for oxygen depletion and toxic gases including hydrogen, hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, fluorine, chlorine, and more. The output is an industry-standard 4-20mA loop signal usable by all GDS Corp controllers and industry-standard PLCs, DCSs, and other control devices. Certified with certain non-reactive-gas sensors for use in hazardous areas.
Key Specifications
Where You'd
Use This
Oxygen depletion monitoring in enclosed or confined spaces
Toxic gas detection in power plants, refineries, and tank farms
Compressor stations and pipeline facilities needing loop-powered simplicity
Installations where minimal wiring is essential: two wires carry both power and signal
Why We Specify This
The GASMAX LX is the simplest wired monitor to install because it needs only two wires: power and signal on the same pair. That halves the cable cost compared to a separately powered monitor. We use it extensively for oxygen depletion and common toxic gases where the client has a standard PLC or DCS already accepting 4-20mA inputs. The hazardous area certification with non-reactive sensors means it is viable inside a Zone 1 or Zone 2 without additional protection.
