Spectrex 950
UV open path detector for toxic hydrogen sulphide at low concentrations, up to 200 ft range, sub-10 second response.

What This Device
Does
The SafEye Quasar 950 uses ultraviolet technology to continuously monitor for toxic hydrogen sulphide (H2S) gas at very low concentrations, up to 95 percent obscuration. It covers wide areas with long range detection up to 60 m and high speed response in under 10 seconds. Solar blind and immune to industrial environments, so it stays reliable in real plant conditions.
Key Specifications
Where You'd
Use This
H2S perimeter monitoring around sour gas processing facilities
Wide area H2S coverage in oil fields and refinery boundaries
Loading and unloading zones where H2S release could occur at any point
Pipeline compressor stations handling sour gas streams
Why We Specify This
H2S is lethal at very low concentrations, and point detectors only cover a small radius. The Quasar 950 lets us monitor an entire line of sight for H2S, which means a release anywhere along the beam path is detected, not just at one spot. The solar-blind UV technology is critical for outdoor installations because it will not false-alarm from sunlight the way a broadband detector would.
