What This Device
Does
The GDS-58X is an explosion-proof wireless switch state transmitter that accepts normally-open or normally-closed switch contacts and broadcasts them on GDSCorp wireless networks. Magnetic switches allow setup and diagnostics in hazardous areas without opening the enclosure. The unit allows any two switch inputs to become part of an advanced GDSCorp wireless network.

Why We Specify This
We specify the GDS-58X wherever a dry-contact signal (a manual call point, a pressure switch, a deluge valve position) needs to reach the detection controller without a cable run. Like the GDS-59X, the explosion-proof enclosure and magnetic-switch configuration mean we install and configure it inside a hazardous area without hot-work permits. It is the simplest way to extend a wireless network to cover discrete switch inputs alongside gas readings.
